Valentine Breakfast Pastries

I cannot help myself but to make heart shaped everything for my not so little loves. These pastries come together so easily with a frozen puff pastry and they are adorable. The can be made the night before, but are best served shortly after making.

Also, if you do not have strawberries and strawberry jam, you can use any combination of jam and fresh or frozen fruits.

Ingredients:

1 frozen puff pastry, thawed overnight in refrigerator

3 oz low-fat cream cheese, softened

2 Tbsp strawberry jam

1/2 cup diced strawberries

Directions:

You just need to let the pastry thaw in the refrigerator overnight. In the morning, you simply cut your heart shapes.

Preheat oven to 400F.

Meanwhile, I mixed 3oz of low fat cream cheese with 2 Tbsp of strawberry jam.

Once I have the heart shapes, transfer to a sheet pan. Leaving a 1/2 in border on the hearts, spread the cream cheese mixture. Top with diced strawberries.

Transfer to the oven and bake for 12-14 minutes.
